This piece was created for my final HND project module. Our 4 man team made a small scale mod for Half Life 2 called Blazing Glory. It was the initial story development and training mission for a firefighting game. The brief was to create a fire fighting training environment with game elements. We chose a 3 part approach including; a small narrative development flashback to give the player a reason for becoming a firefighter, a briefing area where the player is told what they are about to undertake and how to undertake it and a fire house training section to farmiliarise the player with the gameplay elements. If taken further, Blazing Glory was to contain a series of objective based levels including all the elements present in the training simulation along with further fire training related techniques such as NPC rescue and the use of other fire safety equipment including ladders, advanced breathing apparatus and the jaws of life.
This flashback piece was mapped, scripted and textured entirely by myself.

This is the second section of Blazing Glory. This short briefing section was scripted by myself. This was a follow on from one of my earlier prototyping videos available on my youtube account. It was a fully lip synced delivery of the objectives in the training level of Blazing Glory. This was put together using a few timed triggers linked to different scripted sequence entities and some logic_choroegraphed_scene entities. Audio was provided by myself.
